This recipe is for 400gms chicken (Serves 2 hungry souls)
This is what you'll need:
For the steak sauce:
2 tablespoon pasta sauce
½ teaspoon of dark soy sauce
½ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of Italian Seasoning
½ teaspoon of garlic dried
1 teaspoon of butter
1 ½ tablespoon of Olive oil
This is what you need to do:
Butterfly (slice it in half) the chicken breasts.
Score (making shallow diagonal cuts) the chicken breasts.
In a bowl, take pasta sauce, dark soy sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and mix well.
Apply the sauce evenly covering the chicken completely.
Marinate for 1 hour.
Heat olive oil in a pan.
Add dried garlic and butter.
Saute till garlic turns light brown.
Place chicken into the pan, scored side down.
Cook on high flame, sear the chicken for 2 mins, carefully flip the chicken, cook for 2 mins more on low to medium flame.
Take 20 ml of dark rum to add it to the pan.
Make the flame high and flambe.
This is how you flambe like a pro!
Turn off the heat and let the chicken rest for 5 mins
Serve as you like it! I love it with some creamy mashed potatoes. YUM! YUM! YUM!
