BBQ Steaks

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

This recipe is for 400gms chicken (Serves 2 hungry souls)



This is what you'll need:

400gms chicken

For the steak sauce:

2 tablespoon pasta sauce

½ teaspoon of dark soy sauce

½ teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of Italian Seasoning

½ teaspoon of garlic dried

1 teaspoon of butter

1 ½ tablespoon of Olive oil

This is what you need to do:

  • Butterfly (slice it in half) the chicken breasts.

  • Score (making shallow diagonal cuts) the chicken breasts.

  • In a bowl, take pasta sauce, dark soy sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and mix well.

  • Apply the sauce evenly covering the chicken completely.

  • Marinate for 1 hour.

  • Heat olive oil in a pan.

  • Add dried garlic and butter.

  • Saute till garlic turns light brown.

  • Place chicken into the pan, scored side down.

  • Cook on high flame, sear the chicken for 2 mins, carefully flip the chicken, cook for 2 mins more on low to medium flame.

  • Take 20 ml of dark rum to add it to the pan.

  • Make the flame high and flambe.


This is how you flambe like a pro!

Turn off the heat and let the chicken rest for 5 mins

Serve as you like it! I love it with some creamy mashed potatoes. YUM! YUM! YUM!
